In the second of a two part EP series, we explore techniques and structure of Popular Music transformed to extended, club friendly dub concepts through the collaborative process. Sounds were sourced, generated, sampled, looped, saturated, filtered and warped to create new alternative works from vinyl samples, sourced sound from retailers and studio recordings. Again collaborating with Team Green, we utilized their unique process of silk screen printing, to capture an image that best responded to this EP. The outcome was influenced by the title track, where eyes were repeated to create a sense of seduction, overlayed on a recycled disco record sleeve, as a whole insinuating naughty mischief inside the club.
Turning the dial on the radio, the song switches to warm disco loops and old 70’s film samples into a contemporary Disco House fit for the club dancefloor. The drop sucks you through a wormhole with a bouncy bassline after being lured with an enticing voice to “escape into the music.” The groove continues to roll with voices floating in delay and spacious lasers reverberating and bouncing off one's ear drum as if Garage and Disco music met for the first time.
Again, we took advantage of additional mixing by Fedrico from Art Facility in Brooklyn and Adam Boose in Cleveland at Cauliflower Audio. The collaboration processed the track as if it belonged during the heyday of 70’s Disco.
Smashing into track 2, a spongy organ melody precursors a low end Garage Bassline. With its shattering qualities, a vocal drop that puts its foot down on the dancefloor while the listeners hear the words “I Won’t.” In addition, Piano stabs work through the track with laser sounds while shuffled Garage drums drive the groove all the way through.
The final track, Right Now, Your Touch embodies the grooves of Chicago House with poppy vocals spreading in and out. High cut electric piano stabs create seductive qualities while snare rolls anticipates drops and key changes towards the end.
In the last 2 tracks of this EP, we took advantage of Matt Sargeant skills and process, along with the up north Manchester environment to embed the city's unique sound onto this New York House club track. This collaboration or tossing and processing sounds from across the pond, enables all collaborators to share their voice on the dancefloor from afar.

the music out of the digital space into a tangible physical reality. His music captures to confront the listener with their own process of being, through low-end frequencies, found samples, and swung dance loops....more
