This latest release is due December 23, 2022 from T. Nguyen touches on the mode of seeking, identity, and the inner make-up of the world within us. In 2019, the writing of these vignettes started to grasp various geographical locations from the north of England interplaying with 130 + bpm drive, and deep den club nights during his past travels. Throughout the Name & Form EP, one hears the overlying theme of tape smashing against synthetic organs from a Roland keyboard, Garage music shuffles and found sounds archived from dusty old records.

Visions from his trip to Leeds in the 2010’s, when Northern Bassline and Organ House scenes were prominent, can be heard permeating throughout the listening experience while boundless sound forms wrestle with the finite space of a Teac X-10R Reel to Reel tape machine. Finally finished in late 2022, T. Nguyen takes these works and gives a non local response, recreating conversations between past destinations and triggering momentary concepts of existence in future listeners.

Track 1 hits the road running with a bouncing bassline and driving drum shuffle. The perpetuating bassline sits underneath a solitary organ motif surrounded by New York City police sirens; making the joints in one's hip sway and shoulders seesaw left to right. The drop comes at around 2:28 introducing a panning inner voice at the moment of uncertainty deciding what the next action will be. Mistaken Identity on the surface is about not only misidentifying others' hairy situations, but misidentifying oneself when shrouded by uncontrollable emotions created from inputs of the human senses.

Hide and Seeker conceptualizes, a vacuum like bassline gripping the listener with horns soloing out questions of identity with open arms. The organ motif moving through experiences, on top of a Deep Club music style synths and simple Garage House style drums sets a play of mystery. The dance that is created is always in motion, but the different instruments never really seem to satisfy each other to find each other through the divine play of hide and seek. .

Incarnate brings back and utilizes an old Drum and Bass breakbeat loop, mixed with an organ bassline and early Garage style synth stabs. Knowing the familiar and gravitating towards the unknown, the coalescing of organs and breakbeats are sounds often brought together in some of T. Nguyen’s works. Techniques of sampling from old records and incorporating digital samples from online marketplaces allows sounds to merge together as one idea.

Lastly, No Wear takes the main characteristic of boundless sound smashed against finite reel to reel tape. The groove comes at 114 BPM, with soft synths, vocals, arpeggiation and plucked melodies. The kick sounds as if it was pushing and kicking out of a car stereo with distortion introduced to mimic one's own feeling of agency and content while speeding down the highway. No wear conceptually plays on the idea of the enjoyment of our inner reality.
